Olympic Peninsula: Sequim, Washington

Near Olympic National Park on Washington's Olympic Peninsula there is splendor all around. The Peninsula is accessed from Seattle either by driving around the southern part of Puget Sound or by crossing the Sound on one of many ferries. Puget Sound itself plays host to various sealife, including sea lions, orca, dalls porpoises, and many species of birds.

This event encompasses a variety of activities during the five days. It can include a trip to the San Juan Islands to view orca where as many as three different pods can be seen; hiking in the National Park on the Hurricane Ridge trail where one can see across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria, British Columbia on clear days; and visiting stands of virgin timber.

Group discussions are integrated into each day and allow participants to share experiences and reflections.

Gathering and cooking oysters, depending on season, can be part of the group activity. Meals can be picnics gathered informally in sunny spots or dining at various local restaurants.

Camping or lodging is available in the small town of Sequim.

Please note that all trips are developed and run with personal growth and expansion of horizons being the goal. Wingspan, Ltd.'s mission is to help people get out of their comfort zone and enjoy doing it.
